En français, au Canada
Your RMM, security and compliance platform, in Canadian French
Lavawall® works in Canadian French, Canadian English and US English. Each technician picks their language, each client can have its own default, and the emails, training, support centre and website follow. A Quebec team works in French without a second tool or a translation layer.

Why French matters to MSPs and IT teams in Canada
About a fifth of Canadians speak French as their first language, and in Quebec the Charter of the French Language makes French the normal language of work, including the software people use on the job. A tool your client's staff cannot use in French is a tool they work around.
For an MSP with clients in Quebec, New Brunswick, Ontario or Manitoba, that usually means two awkward choices: run English-only tools and translate by hand, or keep a second product for French-speaking clients. Lavawall® removes the choice. One platform, one set of evidence, in the language each person reads best.
This is general information, not legal advice. Ask your advisor how the Charter applies to your organization.
What is in French
The console
Choose Français (Canada) from the Accessibility and language menu in the top bar. The button shows FR so everyone can see which language is on. The main screens are translated, and more arrive with each release.
A default for each client
Set Default language for employees on a client company and everyone there starts in French. A person can still choose their own language, and a company with no default follows its parent.
Automatic for Quebec
With Automatic, visitors in Quebec, France and other mainly French-speaking places get French, and so does anyone whose browser prefers French.
Emails in the recipient's language
Invitations, password and MFA resets and sign-in notices go out in the recipient's own language, or their company's default.
Security awareness training
Assign courses in Canadian French, with French slides, quizzes and narration. About the training.
Support centre and website
Every article in the centre de soutien is in French, along with the main pages of this site, the contact form and the website chat.
French sources for compliance
When you work in French, a framework's Official Documentation link opens the publisher's French page where one exists.
Quebec French, not a word swap
Courriel, clavardage, rançongiciel, hameçonnage, « guillemets » and 1 234,56 $: the text follows Quebec usage and the Office québécois de la langue française's vocabulary.
Hosted in Canada, too
Data is hosted in Canada by default, in Montréal today. Canadian data residency.

Many tools Canadian MSPs use are English-only
We checked each vendor's own documentation in October 2026. Some offer French; several do not, or translate only an end-user portal while technicians work in English:
| Tool | Console in French? |
|---|---|
| Lavawall® | Yes: Canadian French, Canadian English and US English, chosen by each person |
| Kaseya VSA | No: English or German (source) |
| Pulseway | No: English and German (source) |
| ConnectWise Automate | No: ships a US English language pack only (source) |
| ConnectWise PSA | End-user portal only, in Canadian French (source) |
| Autotask PSA | Not listed: localized in English, German and Spanish, plus Chinese and Japanese (source) |
| Vanta | No: the central platform is not translated (source) |
| ManageEngine ADAudit Plus | No: Chinese and English (source) |
Taken from each vendor's own documentation in October 2026. Tell us if something has changed and we will correct it. Every Canadian alternative page shows the language row for that tool.
Set it up in two minutes
- In the console top bar, click Accessibility and language and choose Français (Canada).

Frequently asked questions
- Is Lavawall available in French?
- Yes. The Lavawall® console works in Canadian French, Canadian English and US English. Each person picks their language from the Accessibility and language menu in the top bar, and an administrator can set a default for each client company.
- Is it Canadian French or French from France?
- Canadian French. The text follows Quebec usage and the Office québécois de la langue française's vocabulary: courriel, clavardage, rançongiciel, hameçonnage, and amounts written as 1 234,56 $.
- Can we use French for one client and English for another?
- Yes. Each client company has a default language for its employees, and each person can still choose their own. A company with no default follows its parent company, so an MSP can set French once for a Quebec client and every new user there starts in French.
- What else comes in French besides the console?
- Invitation, password, MFA and sign-in emails arrive in the recipient's language. Security awareness courses can be assigned in Canadian French, with French slides, quizzes and narration. The support centre, the main pages of this website, the contact form and the website chat are in French too.
- Is every screen translated?
- The main screens are translated, and more are added with each release. A screen that has not been translated yet shows English, and switches to French as soon as its translation ships.
- Which tools that MSPs use do not offer a French console?
- Several do not. Kaseya VSA offers English or German, Pulseway English and German, and ConnectWise Automate ships only a US English language pack. Vanta says its central platform is not translated. Each comparison page links to the vendor's own documentation.
