Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) Essential Eight Maturity Model — eight prioritized mitigation strategies to protect internet-connected IT networks against cyber threats.
Mandatory for Non-Corporate Commonwealth Entities (NCCEs). Recommended for all Australian organizations.
Three maturity levels: Level 1 (partly aligned), Level 2 (mostly aligned), Level 3 (fully aligned). Covers application control, patching, macro settings, user application hardening, admin privilege restriction, patching OS, MFA, and regular backups.
