Help a user who needs administrator rights

A task guide: the pages to use, in order.

Six steps: the user presses the technician hotkey, the technician scans the QR code from the console top bar, then either approves a time-limited session on Pending Requests or, if the computer is offline, reads out a code from Offline Approval, then checks the result in Events and can end it early from the Dashboard.

Steps

  1. User presses the technician hotkey. A QR code appears on their screen
  2. Scan it from the console top bar. On a phone or computer where you are signed in
  3. Is the computer online?. Online opens Pending Requests; offline opens Offline Approval
  4. Approve for a set time. Or, offline: pick a duration and read out the code
  5. Check what ran. Filter to Elevation granted
  6. End it early if needed. Turn off under 'Administrator elevation is ON'
